One for the Bruichladdich Fans: A bottle of Port Charlotte 16 Year Old Feis Ile Digital Exclusive Release from 2020 that was limited to 3000 bottles and only available through a ballot system. This heavily peated Port Charlotte was the oldest that they had released to this date. It was distilled in 2003 and was filled into three different types of casks: Sherry, bourbon and virgin oak, bottled at a mouth watering 55.8% ABV.

This heavily peated Port Charlotte was the oldest that they had released to this date (2020). It was distilled in 2003, their Scottish Barley new-make was filled into three different parcels of casks:

Parcel One - Refill hogsheads, re-casked into first fill bourbon barrels in 2012

Parcel Two - First fill bourbon barrels, re-casked into ex-Sauternes casks in 2013

Parcel Three - A complex assemblage of ex-Sherry, ex-Bourbon and virgin oak casks

 

This mouth-watering maturation profile was bottled at 55.8% abv and 700ml.
