In 2015, Amrut released the world’s first ever multi-wood barrel Single Malt Whisky and named it ‘Amrut Spectrum’. We have a bottle with the now outlawed James Bond themed 004 logo its original box.

Spectrum has been talked up as a game-changer for one of the world’s most innovative takes on the spirit maturation to date where Amrut’s spirit is aged in reconstituted barrels composed of different oaks. The 004 release was originally limited to 1800 bottles in 2017.

Spectrum has been heralded for unparalleled innovation with some of the world's most innovative takes on the spirit maturation to date where Amrut's spirit is aged in reconstituted barrels composed of different oaks. The 004 release was originally limited to 1800 bottles in 2017.

Amrut Spectrum is an innovative limited release single malt from the Amrut Distillery in India. This time around Four "Frankenstein casks" were custom built for this whisky maturation experiment. Each is made with staves from four different types of wood: ex-Oloroso, new French oak, new American oak, and ex-Pedro Ximénez Sherry cask. The whisky was initially matured in ex-bourbon casks then is transferred to the special hybrid casks before being bottled at 50% ABV.

This batch was released in April 2017 as a limited edition of 1800 bottles.
