A very rare bottle of Springbank Single Cask 1990 16 Year Old Single Malt Whisky. Bottled in Tasmania in 2006 at 59.3% ABV and 750ml - one of only 100 bottles released. We have a bottle of the 50% ABV in the auction.
As the story goes, back in 2006 a 10 year old single cask of Springbank (that had been maturing in Tasmania for a further 6 years), was sent as a sample to Bill Lark. He tasted it alongside his good mate Tim Duckett at Lark distillery, and they thought it was phenomenal. They bought it, bottled it (half at 50% ABV and the other half at cask strength) and the rest is history.
