Lawrenny Exclusive Release

A unique Tasmanian single malt whisky infused with native Huon Pine - it's reminiscent of a walk through a temperate Tasmanian rainforest.

Named Tarkine, this release has been matured in ex-Port and ex-Sherry casks for a rich palate and a lingering finish. It has been infused with characteristics of the native Huon Pine.

The unique pine aroma of Huon Pine provides a lift to the underlying earthy notes of roasted malt, salted pistachio and stewed apricot. The palate is like a walk through the temperate rainforest, notes of wet slate mingle with heathery smoke. Sarsaparilla, peppermint and pumpernickel bread remind us of this whisky's fortified base on the mid and back palate, as lingering peat caps off the experience.

Developing an outstanding whisky is a combination of sourcing the finest raw material elements then allowing it the time to gracefully mature, the cask breathing in and absorbing the local air that passes through the oak with each seasonal climatic change.

Our intent at Lawrenny has always been to harness the unique elements found across the island state of Tasmania as well our own Estate. These elements, along with our awarded distilling team, have enabled us to develop a whisky that we are confident, will be amongst some of the finest in the world.
