This whisky was matured in small French oak casks which previously held Apera fortified wine (Australian style sherry) a number of small casks have been “married” together to produce an elegant and flavoursome whisky at 46% Alcohol.

From Hangar 17 Western Junction near Launceston comes The Launceston Distillery Apera Cask Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky.
This whisky was matured in small French oak casks which previously held Apera fortified wine (Australian style sherry) a number of small casks have been “married” together to produce an elegant and flavoursome whisky at 46% Alcohol.
This whisky is all about the sherry flavour tones of sultanas, dark chocolate and vanilla - A full flavoured whisky with engaging fragrant aromas, it was double distilled and is non-chill filtered to retain depth of character.
